To prepare for this project, I have studied in both public and private schools, which gave me the opportunity to compare different educational environments and understand their strengths and weaknesses. This experience helped me develop a clear vision of what a high-quality, student-centered school should look like. I also had the opportunity to study in Bournemouth, England, where I experienced a different educational culture and teaching approach. What impressed me most was the way teachers encouraged students to think independently, ask questions, participate in discussions, and apply their knowledge in practical situations. The learning environment was focused not only on academic achievement but also on building confidence, communication skills, and critical thinking. This experience greatly influenced my understanding of modern education and inspired many of the ideas behind my project. In addition, I have participated in various academic competitions in English and STEAM organized by leading private schools in Almaty. One of the most valuable experiences was participating in an English Olympiad at Haileybury Almaty. Through this experience, I observed the school’s academic culture, teaching approaches, learning environment, and campus facilities. These observations allowed me to better understand the standards of international education and identify practices that contribute to student success. As a result, I have already begun forming a concept for a future KIMEP-inspired secondary school that would prepare students for university from an early age. My vision is to create a school where students receive a strong academic foundation, develop leadership and communication skills, explore their interests through extracurricular activities, and prepare for their future careers through specialized academic pathways. These experiences have provided me with valuable insights and serve as the foundation for the project I hope to develop in the future.
