My research poster for the "Daryn" National Competition of Scientific Projects, where I took 1st and 3rd places. The project was developed in the "Environmental Protection" direction and focused on enhancing the sorption capacity of diatomite for the purpose of cleansing contaminated waters. The diatomite is a cheap and widely available mineral in Kazakhstan, which I concluded makes it not only an effective asset for absorbing heavy metals, but also an economically advantageous solution.
