Excited to share that our team has advanced to the Final Round of MIMMC 2026 (Malaysia Industrial Mathematical Modelling Challenge)! Over the past weeks, we worked on developing an integrated mathematical model for agricultural machinery rental systems, exploring how pricing strategies influence farmer adoption, service provider sustainability, and overall economic impact. Through mathematical modelling, sensitivity analysis, and real-world data, we investigated how technology can be made both accessible to farmers and financially sustainable for providers. One of the most valuable lessons from this experience was learning how mathematics can be applied beyond the classroom to solve real industrial and societal challenges. Building the model required not only technical knowledge, but also teamwork, critical thinking, research, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a practical way. Our analysis highlighted the importance of balancing profitability with accessibility, demonstrating how thoughtful pricing strategies can encourage agricultural modernization while supporting long-term business viability. It was fascinating to see how mathematical models can reveal hidden relationships and guide better decision-making. The journey isn't over yet. On 29 June, we will be presenting our model at UTM alongside other finalists. I'm grateful to my teammates and everyone who supported us throughout this challenge. Wish us luck as we take the next step! 🚀 #MIMMC2026 #MathematicalModelling #STEM #Research #Agriculture #Innovation #DataScience #ProblemSolving #Teamwork
