Good day everyone, my name is Nuraiym Khafiz. In 7th grade I was admitted to Nazarbayev Intellectual School - one of the most competitive and prestigious school in Kazakhstan. Only the strongest students get in. For three and a half years I studied among the brightest minds, participated in Physics and Chemistry Olympiads, and earned diplomas after passing tough national selections and training camps. The most meaningful part of my journey was working as a Research Assistant and co-developer on an innovative fire safety project. It was inspired by a tragic fire that took many lives. Together with my older brother (also a NIS graduate) we created a comprehensive system for fire suppression, smoke removal, and safe evacuation. The project was officially patented in Kazakhstan, and I’m proud to have contributed to its research, concept development, and component design. This experience, along with my internships in construction procurement and restaurant accounting/auditing, teaching English to younger students, and regular charity work with children who have developmental disabilities, taught me the value of persistence, responsibility, and giving back. I recently received a full four-year scholarship to the University of International Business, but my dream has always been to study at KIMEP University. KAEF was built by people who walked this path before me and came back to support the next generation. I want to become part of that circle - one day helping other determined students who are fighting for their goals. If you believe that HARD work and the DESIRE to contribute matter, I would truly appreciate your support. Thank you for reading my story.
