As part of my project, I am starting to learn the subjects that every future auditor needs. In the future, I plan to study Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, Business Ethics, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). I don’t want to wait until university. I want to start learning now and build a strong foundation for my future career. Today, I took my first step by studying one of the most important topics in Financial Accounting: assets, liabilities, equity, and the balance sheet. I learned that assets are everything a company owns that has value, such as cash, buildings, equipment, and inventory. Liabilities are the money a company owes to other people or organizations. Equity is the part of the company that belongs to the owners after all liabilities are subtracted from the assets. I also learned about the balance sheet and the basic accounting rule: Assets = Liabilities + Equity. This rule is the foundation of accounting and financial reporting. This is just the beginning of my journey. I will keep learning new topics, sharing what I learn, and taking one step closer to my dream of becoming an auditor at a BIG4 company.
