For now, as a student who majored in Business Management for 2 DP years at my school, it's much easier for me to focus on this specific field. Hence, I chose to revisit the book I chose in my first step, Paul Hoang's "Business Management 5th Edition". I am not gonna lie, I am pretty familiar with it already, as I studied using it throughout the course. After rereading it, I highlighted multiple major units I consider as a foundation of BM: 1. Business bases (stakeholders, entities, etc.) 2. Human Resource management (leadership, organizational structure, etc.) 3. Finance and Accounts (costs and revenues, cash flow, etc. ) 4. Marketing (international marketing, marketing planning, etc.) 5. Operations Management (types of production, break-even, etc.) I am actively debating whether BM tools should be included within the curriculum, as it seems a little more advanced to be considered as basics. If I choose to include them, the ones that I would highlight the most are: BCG Matrix, Ansoff Matrix, Decision Trees and Contribution.
